Scientific Interests

Main Interests: 

My research focuses on the geodynamic/tectonic processes of ophiolite emplacement (i.e., obduction). Ophiolites are remnants of dense oceanic lithosphere that are emplaced atop less dense continental margins. The specific geodynamic processes by which this occurs are still poorly understood. Making use of numerical models as a proxy to the natural systems, my research seeks to improve our understanding of these mechanisms.
